To use this tool you should be administrator of your system. To do this Go to Start menu search box type cmd

After hitting search button a cmd icon will appear then right click on it and select "Run as a administrator"

After opening command prompt Type

powercfg -energy -output \Folder\Energy_Report.htm

Folder where you want to generate report e.g Desktop.

 OR

powercfg -energy

For this command your report will generate in C: drive.

After typing and hitting command in cmd windows 7 will generate report for you and gives recommendations to increase and maintain your battery life after examining your laptop status.
